In my constant practice of gratitude, the Love List has become a staple in my self care routines. Especially in low points, it’s extremely helpful to take a moment, breathe, and let positivity gently seep through as I make conscious note of all of the things and events that bring me joy. My birthday is on Valentine’s Day, so needless to say, I hear all about Love in ways that do not apply to me. I Love when people assume that just because my birthday is on the “day of Love” that I spend it each year getting tossed up and showered with chocolate and rose petals. Girl, please. I get more sex on St. Patrick’s Day.
So, this time of year more than ever, it feels really good to have a reminder of all of the good things! I encourage you all to take a moment, whether you’re getting tossed up this V-Day or not, to cultivate a little self Love. Make a Love List and share it with your people. Do it with total awareness and pay attention to how it makes you feel to remember the things that you Love.
